INTRODUCTION

Food, Health and Beauty Exhibition (FHeBEx) is a programme organised by Bioprocess Engineering Student Society (BIOSS), UTM in collaboration with Kementerian Kesihatan Malaysia. This programme will be held for three days, starting off from 9th till 11th of February 2011. This event will take place at the main hall of UTM which isDewan Sultan Iskandar, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia.

The programme, themed “Towards the World of Transformation” is made with the aim to provide an approach to all UTM students and visitors the importance of maintaining a healthy diet and good beauty regime. Interesting activities like blood donation, free medical examination and beauty consultation are also available for visitors and students. Interview sessions with companies are also included for students who wish to apply for their Industrial Training Programme placement.

In addition, it is our target to have two hospitals representatives, 20 food companies and 13 beauty companies. In fact, involvement of these company representatives is expected to help spice up the program, promoting the company’s product and indirectly to strengthen bilateral relations between UTM and the representatives of the companies involved.

Furthermore, variety of prices will be provided to the visitors through attractive activities such as lucky draws, and more games prepared by representatives of the companies involved. It is also expected and hoped that this event will get a favourable response to the organizers.

PROGRAMME GOALS

• To provide beauty and health awareness to the students of UTM and visitors to the event

• To give the opportunity to food, health & beauty companies to come to Universiti Teknologi Malaysia to conduct a roadshow and thereof promote their products to the students and visitors

• To award the chance to the students to have beauty consultation and also medical examination by experts from organizers
